I'm Utso Sarkar - mathematician, founder, and systems thinker based in India.
I started Strato Inc in 2020 while learning app development. It was originally registered as PAC Limited; I later renamed it to Strato. It is my Play Store publishing company: I build Android apps, publish them, and learn from real users without pretending every app is a venture-backed startup.
I shipped Strato Foods in March 2021. Through 2021 and 2022 it became well known in my hometown and generated real revenue. I shut that app down in early 2023 when Swiggy and Zomato expanded locally and I had no one to run day-to-day operations. Strato Inc is still active. I still publish apps there.
I joined IIT Roorkee in August 2024 for B.S./M.S. Mathematics & Computing.
In January 2026, my co-founder Vinayak Raizada and I startedStamped. Vinayak is from IIT Roorkee too, Electrical Engineering, same batch. We began with C2PA-style image capture authenticity: verified photos, background ZK proofs, and a consumer thesis around fighting AI-generated media noise. AtETHMumbai 2026 we won the Hashed Emergent VC track with that stack (stamped-ethm). Web3 payment appetite in India was thin, so we pivoted B2B: image authenticity for logistics, insurance, and finance. Competitor study (Truepic and peers). Insurance and logistics became the clearest initial wedges.
In mid-April 2026 we went to Bangalore for a YC event (April 15–20). We explored the ecosystem and spent time talking to founders who had already been building for years. That week sharpened how we thought about B2B GTM.
In May 2026 we pivoted again to Stamped Energy, industrial energy intelligence for manufacturing. Vinayak and I made that shift together after customer conversations kept surfacing energy telemetry and operational waste. We are in active discussions with plants and operators now.
I research machine learning and continual personalization for LLMs. In May 2026 I also startedFounder OS, a personal Telegram-native assistant with ChromaDB memory and a SQLite CRM.
